In fact there are two possibilities in your case:
1- I have updated plain text email to html email so there is possibility that emails are going in spam/junk
2- “Download is not working” message comes up only when you don’t have appropriate PHP configuration which is required
e.g. PHP class finfo etc.
But i will get back to you soon with proper notification messages and requirements console to show that your hosting is supporting this plugin fully or partially?

I had checked in my spam folder and it’s not there. So that eliminates #1.
#2 could be a possibility. My client’s site is hosted at GoDaddy.
