I cannot test all plugins. Some specific code has been added for compatibility with WordPress SEO, YARPP, some module of Jetpack and Custom fields template. Advanced Custom Fields has been tested too.

Some plugins added specific code for compatibility with Polylang (for example XML Sitemap & Google News Feeds or Pods). Other added some specific code for WPML and thus work out of the box with Polylang (for example NextGen gallery). A lot of plugins do not need any specific work to be compatible with Polylang.

I encourage you to make tests.

If you deactivate Polylang after using it a while, you will keep all your posts, pages, categories and so on… If you chose to set the language from content, your posts and pages url will not not be modified but the archive urls will be modified. If you chose to add the language to all urls, then all the urls will be modified. Some plugins work better with the latest option (for example WPSEO).

If you re-activate the plugin, you will get back your languages and translations you did before de-activating it. Other content will have no language assigned.

All plugin datas are erased when you click on the (red) delete link in plugins list table.

    Thanks.

I am interested in using Polylang with WooCommerce. I see there is a plugin that integrates WooCommerce with WMPL ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/ ), but I would prefer to use Polylang.

Below are the main features they describe for the plugin integrating WooCommerce and WPML. Could you please tell me which of these PolyLang would provide without having to do additional programming? Many thanks. It looks like you’ve built a fantastic plug in.

    Features – http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/

    – Lets you translate products, variations, attributes and categories
    – Easily synchronizes between products and variations between different languages
    – Keeps the same language through the checkout process
    – Sends emails to clients and admins in their selected language
    – Allows inventory tracking without breaking products into languages
    – Enables running a single WooCommerce store with multiple currencies

I have no idea of what works or not with woocommerce as I never tested it.
