• Howdy,

With the lastest and greatest iteration of WordPress, the redirection plugin I’d been using (i.e. “Redirection”) for one of my clients seems to not be working quite so well and am looking to move over to Safe Redirect Manager. I am already employing SRM on another client site; I absolutely love the functionality but here’s the rub – I need to migrate a large volume of 301 redirects from the Redirection plugin into SRM. Redirection is not actively maintained and has actually been a bit of a sore spot because it allows for duplicate entries and some URLs just don’t redirect, so my Webmaster and SEO tools keep seeing them.

That said, I’m looking for a means of taking my existing redirects and migrating them into SRM via either CSV or through the database itself. I see that the plugin doesn’t have an import function and after trolling the database post install and after redirects have been input, I don’t see where this data is stored.

Is a migration like this possible?

The client I’m working with not only underwent a complete rebrand (they broke away from a national franchise and went independent), but they also are making changes to the business that impact their on-line presence. The volume of redirects is between 15 and 40 a week, has been this way since the rebrand, so SRM will certainly get a workout.

Very much looking forward to your response.

    Cheers,

    TM
