Jetpack Infinite Scroll on single.php? | WordPress.org

I’d love love LOVE to enable infinite scroll on single.php, so that visitors accessing a specific post will have access to previous posts below it. I’m using a child of the standard WP twentytwelve theme. How seriously would I need to mangle single.php in order to achieve this or, alternately, is there a simple(ish) reconfig of the add_theme_support( ‘infinite-scroll’ ) etc. in functions.php which would invoke this behavior?

I’m afraid I may not be able to help here. Infinite Scroll was not designed to work this way, and single.php is designed to display a single post. You would have to create a new WordPress loop in single.php, and then use the infinite_scroll_archive_supported filter to add Infinite Scroll support to single pages too. I’m not sure all this would work though.

It would probably be easier to use a Related Posts plugin like YARRP to display related posts below each entry on your site.
