• Hi all,

I am in the process of finally making a personal website as a portfolio for my photography/advertising. It is structured with a rectangular menu at the top of the screen with a link to: Home page(want a blog here), Photos (flash gallery), Advertising (flash gallery), Shop and About.

It is not complete yet, but I know for my home page (the default first screen) I’d like to dedicate the area underneath the menu for a blog I can update easily. It can be very basic, just a way to signify updates and announce added photos to my flash gallery.

My question is, is wordpress capable of this? I don’t want a site revolving around a blog, I want my site with blog on one page. Excuse my non-technical language as I’m still trying to learn as much as I can.

    I made a crappy mock-up to better explain. http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2126438675&size=o

    Thank you in advance!

  • I’m quite curious about this too…
Personally I’d like to imbed a stripped version of the blog on this page:

With only the title, text and footers and
    Without the banner and sidebar

I am looking for a way to do this as well. I already have my site built up, and recently redesigned it. Instead of having my blog look completely different, or have to code a new WordPress theme, I’d like to insert it into a page of my current site.
