• Hi All,

I’m looking for a tool, that is up to date, that will take a URL e.g. http://www.website.com and a CSS file, and tell me which CSS is not being used anywhere on the site.

I could also do with a tool that will tell me where selectors are being declared more than once in a number of files if possible. I know that I have a custom.css file that uses the !important tag, but should really go back and remove the ones that exist in other files.

    Thanks
    Dvent

  • Don’t know of any and wouldn’t recommend doing that kind of thing anyway. Those files will get replaced anyway when the theme/plugin/WP is updated.

There used to be a Firefox add-on that did something like this from somewhere like brothercake. Not sure if it’s still around though. Sorry to be so vague but it’s a while since I had it installed.

I do think your best bet would to look for a browser tool for this, though.
