add intro picture to startpage

Dear Caroline,

thanks for all the support to you beautiful theme that I’m using for several month now, successfully 😉

Here is what I would like to do now:
I’d like to add a jpg-image (my logo) to appear when entering the website and disappear after a few seconds automatically to show the main startpage afterwards, kind of a automatic intro to the startpage.

Tried to find a solution in the net, but couldn’t find an easy solution.

Perhaps you have a good idea what to do or where to look for a solution?
