Go to theWordPress plugins page and look in the list of plugins. If you see ‘Subscribe2’ then you are using the free version. If it says ‘Subscribe2 HTML’ then you are running the paid version.
If you have updated and lost the HTML version you need to renew at semperplugins.com to get the paid version again. If you are using the HTML version already open a ticket at semperplugins.com/support/
Ah, now that explains what happened. It’s something else that someone who was paid to fix my website screwed up when he didn’t do what he was paid for in the first place. And he had come with recommendations.

Oh dear. It was all to easy to update the free version over the paid version but I fixed that a while ago. Updates are much better in the paid version now, they are automated and update the paid version of the code without losing any changes.
I don’t think that was an “update.” I think it was a delete and install. I suspect all I paid for was an uninstall of the html and an install of the free version. My “expert” probably didn’t know that difference. Sort of like your mechanic taking off your fancy alloy wheels and replacing them with the standard wheels without still fixing the problem with your brakes.

Are you raising this with you ‘mechanic’ then? I guess he should be trying to put right what he’s made wrong (unless you’ve lost faith of course).

I found someone who fixed the original problem a while back. I’ve been playing whack-a-mole with various things while still keeping up with adding content…and am getting around to this now. :-/

You probably need to renew and access the latest version of Subscribe2 HTML here now then and get the update added onto your site.
