Sorting problem with about 10000 records

    Hi, i’m having an issue when trying to sort a custom column (we got a 500 error – memory exausted – 1024M).
    We have got about 10000 posts with 5000 terms in 7/8 custom taxonomies.
    In order to make it work again we had to delete the CPAC sorting setting from db, and we temporarily deactivated the addon.
    I was wondering if there’s anything we could do.

    That are a lot of posts indeed.

    Could you tell me which column you were trying to sort when you ran out of memory? Some sorting queries are different from others, so if you could help me narrow it down, I can try an optimise them.

    i was actually trying to sort a custom taxonomy for a custom post…
    i have a custom post with about ten custom taxonomies: some of them have thousands of records aswell.
    Yes, i know that they are a lot of posts (it’s a quite big db btw), but i do love the plugin and i tried to drop a line before giving up…. 😉
