• Hi guys,

So I set up my google authorship and it used to work before and in the last months it stopped working, i dont know why. But I figured it out today via rich snippets.

    This is what I’m getting:

Email address on the dreameurotrip.com domain has been verified on this profile: Yes
Public contributor-to link from Google+ profile to dreameurotrip.com: Yes
Automatically detected author name on webpage: Not Found.

The last one is crucial. Looking at it more, I see these warnings:

    Warning: Missing required field “entry-title”.
    Warning: Missing required field “updated”.
    Warning: Missing required hCard “author”.

How do I troubleshoot these warnings? I’ve already added a rel=author in my User Profile/Bio Page

You can check my website here: http://www.dreameurotrip.com

Hope to hear from anyone. Thank you!

  • I just looked at the rich snippets tool and authorship has not been verified. The first place to check is your WordPress user profile. It looks to me that you might have “Google+” set as the author for your page (I’m no expert in this stuff though). I think it’s more important to link you as the author to your Google+ page, instead of linking that page to the site’s publisher (or maybe you can do both, unsure). You also need a link from your Google+ user profile back to your domain (that is how Google confirms that you are the site author).

This page should help you start to diagnose the issues: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1306778&ctx=cb&src=cb&cbid=178z4xc29gnw0&cbrank=0
