  • I’m sorry but as you are using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.

    I’ve tried repeatedly to contact the developer, but have had no luck. Is there no way to just change the image so it doesn’t add in that weird blank space?

    We cannot help you here. The wordpress.org support forums are meant for the core application, themes and plugins that are distributed on wordpress.org. We do not support themes downloaded from elsewhere.

    regardless whether your theme is supported here or not, you are making troubleshooting uneccessary difficult by lack of details such as how you tried to enter the image, and by not having the problem visible in your site.

    general impression:

    your theme seems to have different widget areas for the sidebar – one top one which is wide, then two narrow ones below side-by-side;

    try adding the image to the top wide one.
