• Hi all,

I was hoping someone can help me out with this very annoying bug.
I’m running WP (3.5.1) on a local Apache server (2.0.64) and I want to install a plugin that requires me to change the permalink setting to something containing %postnamt%, so I did just that and used “/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/”, but now all of my links are broken (404)!
I had a look at the Using Permalinks page and followed the instructions in it, but all the settings in my htaccess file and httpd.conf seem correct.

Please help a WP-newbie with this irritating problem…

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi GiladD. When you say “all of my links are broken”, are you talking about links within your post or page content?

I’m talking about all internal links within the site to any pages.
However, since posting this question I tried changing the permalink pattern to include index.php and that seems to work, but I would like to know if there’s a way around it…
