Can I hide the slug that shows the page number?

    Hi,

    On my blog I have enabled Infinite Scroll. When scrolling down, /page/2, /page/3 etc. is added to the URL.

    What I would like to do is hide the slug that shows /page/2, /page/3 etc.
    However, I would like to retain the slugs on individual posts.

    Any ideas on how this can be done? Many thanks in advance for your help!
