    Good Afternoon . . . I have upgraded/purchased VFB Pro as well as Payments “add-on”. LOVE THEM BOTH – absolutely fabulous! Great job, and payment add-on works perfectly. Very impressed. I have one question however, and hope you can help me with the answer. So far, payments work perfectly when NOT set to recurring. (Viewer is taken right to PayPal, tax is added on – and functions absolutely perfect). For some very strange reason, if I try to use VFB Pro with Payment add-on, and set it to recurring — at PayPal end, the tax isn’t added on . . . not sure if it’s something I’m doing wrong or not. I have double checked PayPal settings (their end) – tax rates are there for sure. The only time the tax doesn’t get added is when we have it set to “recurring” (trying to set up my customer with a subscription service).

    Suggestions? Any assistance would be appreciated. I have also contacted PayPal and they’re no help at all.

    Thank you very much, and again, if I can’t get the subscription form to work — it’s still ok . . . we can go another route (just use the PayPal subscribe button). Just thought I’d ask.

    Hi Laura,

    Taxes are not supported on recurring payments at this time, which is why it’s not being applied. This is a PayPal thing and though there have been requests from several others about this exact issue on PayPal’s website, it has not been added to their API.

    Sorry, not much I can do about that :/

    Hi Matthew – yes you’re correct (we found out late this evening). At first I thought I was doing something wrong somewhere. In Canada subscriptions and recurring payments are taxable. Can’t thank you enough for responding to my inquiry. Great plugin by the way! Everything works so wonderfully! My client decided to “include” taxes for now on her recurring payments. All good! Thanks again!
