• I installed WordPress in a subdirectory in my hosting account (/wordpress), just to experiment with. But now that I have a bunch of content loaded and the template customized to where I want it, I tried just pointing my URL to the /wordrpess directory. So now http://www.mysite.com points to /wordpress, instead of /. Now my stylesheet is lost, even though WordPress seems to be working fine otherwise when I go to http://www.mysite.com. What’s wrong, and how do I fix it?

  • You could try editing the value of “Blog Address” in the general options of your admin interface so that it matches the address you’re pointing at.

But WordPress tends not to like redirects, and can break. To do what you’ve tried to do the safe way, see:

    Giving WordPress its own Directory

Thanks for your reply. I had done this, but apparently it takes awhile for the other changes to go through on my server. It’s all working now.
