Great plugin – works straight out of the ‘box’ and easy to tweak. I’m really wanting to have an additional taxonomy. I don’t mean hierarchical like this post.

I’m using the portfolio to show gardens – I’m using the features taxonomy to show garden types (classic, contemporary, etc.) but would like to add a separate taxonomy for features (water features, decking, etc).

I know that ‘anything’s possible’ but before I go spending too much time on this, is it possible?

Thanks for the plugin – gave it 5/5.

    Hi reneequinn,

Thank you for using my plugin and for the kind words. The short answer is ‘yes, it’s possible’. The longer answer is a bit, well… longer, and requires some solid understanding of PHP, WordPress functions and javascript.

Registering the additional taxonomy is simple. There’s a some work integrating it with the existing data structure, but my code has a couple filters to help make that integration a bit easier. The hardest part (for me at least) would be modifying the javascript to accept multiple criteria for filtering.

    Thanks!

Thanks John – thought that might be the case. I could probably manage the php and wordpress functions but would have no chance with the Javascript!

I would also really love to use additional taxonomies. Please tell me, if there are any news.
