I downloaded the plugin, inserted it into a widget and selected my settings, but the reviews do not come up. The settings for the widget are correct as the title that I set in the widget comes up on the page, but not the reviews. I double checked the API settings for Yelp and nothing came up still. Please advise! Thanks!

Do you have any reviews currently?

Because if you have no reviews on yelp it won’t display.

Try my 1.0 version, I just released, let me know if it fixes the issue

    Thanks!

version 1.2 will resolve the isssue, if the problem persist open another thread.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

I am using the version 1.2 on my site. I have provided all correct information by creating the api keys on yelp site. But the site is only showing the title “Review” that I have provided in the widget and no review from the yelp site is showing on that widget location. There are already 6 reviews on the yelp site.

So please help me with this issue.

    Thanks

    Hozefa,
About your problem, please make sure your API Business url is correct.
    IE. your business is:

    http://www.yelp.com/biz/district-taco-washington

than make the link look like this:

    http://api.yelp.com/v2/business/district-taco-washington

Second is that yelp used to only let you show the latest 3 reviews (even if you had more than 3 only 3 would show). Now they’ve changed their own rules and didn’t let anyone know that they made the change. The change is that the APIv2 will only show 1 review.

The fix will be that we start working with the APIv1 and you still can get the latest 3 reviews, I just cannot guarantee until when.

Let me know if maybe (with the link that fixes it) and you can see the 1 review at least. if not we will have to go a different route.

Also give me a link to your site so I can see if there is any errors on the display.

    Thanks

Not sure why this thread is marked resolved. I am having the same problem as Hozefa. All of my settings are correct, yet not a single review shows and we have plenty. All that shows is the title I’ve set: Yelp Reviews. Your suggestion to make sure that the API business URL is correct does not make any sense, as there is nowhere in the settings that this is requested. The only thing that is requested in the widget settings is the v1.0 API key, aka the YWSID, which I have entered.

Please advise how I can make this plugin work and show 3 of our many reviews.

    Thanks,

    Rayna,

This is closed due to changes made on the code, you can see all of them on thechangelog.

loga7351, opened a ticket due to problems in the code o versions prior 1.0 and all code problems and bugs had been fixed in ver 1.2

Hozefa, had an issue that was directly linked to changes made by yelp to it’s own API. Which somewhat broke the functionality of the plugin for new yelp API accounts. The problem was really well documented (or at least I think I did a good job of it right here.

With that said the problems they experienced between 10 and 5 months ago were all fixed. now if you have a different problem you are welcome to open your own ticket, and also please post the link to the site so I can have a look too.

The 2 main things that need to be filled in correctly are the API1.0 key and the phone number for the business (please make sure it matches the one on the yelp page)

    Thanks for the response flaviodj.

The reason I thought I was having the same problem as Hozefa was because I had no reviews showing either. I did not know that the business phone number was required to make the plugin work. That might be an instruction to add into the installation notes for new people like me who are unfamiliar with the issues that you had to deal with when Yelp changed their API settings.

    Thanks again,
    Rayna
