    Hey Monte

If you have the ‘Only allow logged in users to vote’ option on, the plugin will use their WP user account to see if they’ve voted already. If you do not have that option on, the plugin will use their IP (regardless if they’re logged in at the time or not).

But I’m not sure I understand your problem. Are you saying that you have all your images set to “Only allow 1 vote per person for this image”, but you can only vote on 1 image per gallery?

Correct. I have all my images set to one vote per image and the user logged in option off. However when not logged in and I try to vote on two different images it takes the vote on the front-end and shows thanks for voting. but when I clicked the second image it gives me the Error of one image per gallery per ip. If am logged in first to the site then it works as intended. Also when I was clicking to vote I notice the top voted didn’t change could this be because my ip is already logged? And thus doesn’t count the vote? I can give a demonstration or give you access to see what I am talking about.

    Thanks

Strange, it seems to work fine in all my test installs. Can you send a mail to shaunalberts AT gmail DOT com with access details so I can check it out myself?

    Yes

    another plugin conflicted with nggvote.

Any specifics on which one, or must I guess 🙂

sorry… it was the NGG GALLERY POWERTAGS which lets you put tags and sort the gallery by tag name. could this be integrated into the ngg vote? I am trying to categories each image by artist name with sort options on the front end for voters.

I just installed it to test, and it seems to work fine.
I created a gallery (ID: 1), and inserted some images. I then gave those images some random word tags.
I then inserted the shortcode [nggpowertags gallery=1] into a page.
When I view the page, I see the gallery as I normally would, but with the tags above the images. Clicking the tags filters the images by that tag.
The voting form shows for all images it’s enabled on, and seems to function exactly as it should.

What is happening with your site?

Now with the ngg powertags plugin try uploading a new image, enable it for voting, and give it a tag to sort the image by. does the image show on the front end?

It didn’t show until I give it a tag. As soon as I gave the new image a tag, it appeared in the gallery, with the voting form there and working for it. I can also filter for the new image by clicking it’s related tag at the top.

are you still logged in? it only shows when you’re logged in. if you log out it will disappear.

The image shows when I’m either logged in or not on my test install. I don’t think there is a conflict between NGG Voting and PowerTags. Have you tried disabling the other plugins you are using to see if any of them are giving the issue?

it may be with the share my gallery plugin i believe i still have that one on.
