  • Have you tried with Twenty Twelve theme? Note though I wouldn’t recommend switching the theme on the live site. If you have any staging server, compare your theme with Twenty Twelve theme.

I don’t have a staging site and would like to avoid doing that. I just find it weird that it disappeared and I see dozens of posts from folks with the same issue and no easy fix.

What theme are you using? Link to your site?

I have Genesis with Modern Bloger child theme.
    Site is http://teapartydesigns.com/

Can you replicate the problem using the default 2012 theme with all plugins deactivated?

If you mean the Visual Editor, check under your user profile that the box to hide it is not checked.

The standard troubleshooting steps are to make sure you’ve cleared all caches and cookies in your browser and site. Then deactivate all your plugins, reset the plugins folder (change the name on the plugins folder to “pluginsHOLD” using FTP) and switch to the twentytwelve theme.

I can do most of that, but the FTP piece is a little beyond my expertise. I just want to access my CSS code like before. So frustrated.

As a site owner, you really do need to learn how to use FTP. It’s either that or hire someone every time you need to do something via FTP.
