Hello – I realize you designed this plugin to work on pages and posts (it does work for me). Is there any way to make it work up in the header section of a theme? I’d love to put my login widget up on our banner. Unfortunately just writing echo '[do_widget id="whatever"]'; just displays this as text without firing the shortcode.
    Thanks!

    HI Barbara,

Unless your theme is applying a content filter to the banner area, it won’t work. And that would not really make much sense!

Some themes offer widget area’s that go in the header. IN which case you’d have no problem!

    Best options for you are:
    1) to edit your theme’s header and either
define a widget area or add the login code directly.

    OR

    2) see if there is a plugin that will ‘filter’ the banner or the site title and let you add something there.

If there is no such plugin, let me know … maybe I’ll create one.
If you need help with it, I’m not cheap, but could assist.
