• I’m looking for a plugin or some code which would allow the following to happen. The site is a local town council site which amongst other functions is a library for agendas and minutes of council meetings. There are about a dozen town councillors. The town clerk (who has admin rights) uploads the next agenda and the minutes of the previous meeting using the WP Download Monitor plugin. These are automatically displayed on the ‘Library’ page – it’s a page which any visitor can access – so the public can download the papers too. The intention is that the councillors will download the papers before the next meeting. At present all papers are sent by snailmail. What I am looking for is that an email is sent to a list of councillors (by email) as soon as a new document is uploaded by the town clerk. The email should contain a direct hyperlink to the uploaded document to allow councillors to download it directly. I have installed WordPress File Monitor Plus which is almost perfect except that it doesn’t create a link to the file and the author, Scott Cariss, tells me that the plugin is unsuitable for this task. Otherwise it does all the above.
Can anybody suggest a suitable solution please?
