You can download .po and .mo files from our translation engine, GlotPress:
    http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/jetpack/2.2

Choose your language, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to export all strings.

You can also copy language files from the /languages/ folder in the Jetpack plugin directory.

You can find out more about how Jetpack translations work here:

Hm.I am really having trouble getting this done. I use wpml also just to have the backend dashboard translated. When I set the locale to hr_HR, which is also default for codestyling localization for template translation, jetpack comments are getting the english version of translation. When I set locale just to hr, jetpack gets the croatian (my native language) but everything else looses the translation since it is not correct locale. Files created for template are called hr_HR.po and hr_HR.mo. Is there a way to set jetpack comments to also use this locale? I think the translation of jetpack would then work ok. I have the files from glotpress in language dir of jetpack.

Ah well only way so far is to rename all translations into hr.po instead of hr_HR.po…Works fine for now 🙂

The official language code is indeed “hr”, as you can see on the Croatian WordPresss home page:
