Support » Plugin: Gravity Forms - Update Post » Setting up the post ID automatically.

  • Hi there,

I am needing some assistance in how to set this up to be automatic. I have a user registration form which gets posted to a custom post type and then placed in a directory.

I have been able to get this plugin to update the custom post type manually by place gform_post_id=XXX after the url the form is on and all works perfectly.

I am just wondering how can i set this up automatically? I want only the person who registered to be able to update their own post in the custom post type but I am not sure how to achieve this. How can i get the post id to be placed in the url dynamically?

I am also concerned about the possibility of a user being able to change another users post in the custom post type via this plugin by changing the post id in the url.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • If your user is an Author they’ll only be able to edit their own content.

As for the automatic edit ID – I really really need that too!
