You may access the server via FTP or hosting control panel to deactivate all plugins, revert to Twenty Twelve theme and see if you can login.
You set your Site adress wrong.
All pages are linkes to http://www.coventryfishmonger.co.uk/wp/ like http://www.coventryfishmonger.co.uk/wp/wp-login.php
Your WP-files are in the base folder like
http://www.coventryfishmonger.co.uk/wp-login.php
I don’t know why 1&1 forwards your 404 page to this advertisement-page.
Thanks for the replies.
There are no plug-ins installed and it is on 2012. The only actions I have done in the life of this site is to log in once, select ‘pages’ and delete the sample page, that’s when everything disappeared.
As per the manual install instructions I downloaded WP then renamed the folder then uploaded it with Ftp. It is named wp under coventryfishmonger on my server. I then redirected http://www.coventryfishmonger to point to /coventryfishmonger/wp
This worked o.k. and this system did work last night for another domain name:
http://www.grimsbybarbers.co.uk/wp/ which works fine.
If I can find the default WP sample page in the main downloaded 3.5.1 folder I attempt to reolad it onto the site.
If there are any other steps I can take then please let me know.
Some of your links are redirected to this page:
http://www.coventryfishmonger.co.uk/wp/?m=201305
It should have been to a 404 if the links are incorrectly set or don’t exist. Find out from the host why their ad page comes up.
Also, make sure that you have your theme in place.
I got around this problem on susequent WP site uploads by creating a new page first, then deleting the sample page & post. This left some existing content on the site to facilitate log in and dashboard access. I then de-activated the meta, widgets & search etc. and created my main homepage. Then deleted the temporary content page (that showed the default meta / search /archives etc.
http://www.grimsbybarbers.co.uk is also sorted. Thanks for all input.
