lose the music…. I likely represent a large portion of viewers that hit back button as soon as the first note starts….and never see the site.

Yeah I agree about the music. If my volume is loud I scramble as fast as I can to close my browser window.
My other personal gripe is moving images like the flying winged gif you have. I ad block those images or leave the website right away. They drive me crazy not to mention it makes your website look like 1992.
Other than that I think it is pretty well done.
You may want to consider making some custom Page templates and remove the lines saying comments off and similar comment-related texts.

tommorow is a week since I set up my site. Made changes adI just wish I knew if its doing it stuff, ie looking like a website rather than a blog. As I said earlier I tried loads of cms but couldnt get my head round them, too time consuming or too fancy. I need to decide whether to delete my old webpages or not. decisions, decisions!

Is it possible for posts to appear in the reverse order from how they do now ie. Older posts to newer rather than newer post to older.
for example in one section of my site I wish to discuss how tuberculosis progress from infection to treatment in several posts and yet to a viewer the end would appear the beginning of the subject.
any advice or help would be appreciated.
auntie – re: ascending/descending post order – you may want to consider the different post per page plugin…

…easily lets you select number of posts to appear on the front page and other respective pages/categories and also the order to display them.
On your front page, use a Page template that doesn’t have commenting.
Next – when browsing through the site – noticed the long URL’s are overlapping into the sidebars. You may want to find a means of tidying them up. Recall seeing a method/tool but don’t recall where off the top of my head.

I see you changed Themes, this new Theme makes your content very hard to read. The red text on top as well as the sidebars. The sidebars with that light color on the edge and the size of the text makes it very hard to read.
I liked your other Theme better, at least I could read your sidebars.

It is a good starting point, easy to edit too. Less code errors to deal with too. Hope you rethink the Theme or edit the one your using.
You have such good content and lots of it, it should be easy to read too.
