  • Hi @maxou82,

What are you wanting to achieve with the email field? To you already have a form setup and you’re trying to ADD an email field, or are you trying to set up a PopUp for an email subscription form?

Yes I’m trying to set up a PopUp for an email subscription form…

    @maxou82
are you using a shortcode provided by CF7?

    Please advise,
    Ari.

Yes I’m using the shortcode of a custom form inside the content field of my popup, and it doesn’t show at all.

    #Removed due to updated information#

I would like to retract my previous comment as I have just been discussing this with the developer and he has found a solution. The plugin DOES support shortcodes, but the way CF7 registers its shortcodes is different to normal shortcodes.

If you switch your plugin settings to use the “Custom Load (experimental)” PopOver Loading method your shortcode should spark into life!

    Sorry for the confusion!

    Hey again.

Haven’t heard from you in a short while so I just wanted to check in and see how things are going here?

Did swapping over to “Custom Load” help?

If you still need some assistance then by all means just reopen the thread or create another one for any new and related issues.

    Cheers.

I’m having this same problem with the short code for CF7 not working in the pop up window. You can check my page here: http://designingwhims.com/test-page/.

I don’t know where to find “plugin settings to use the “Custom Load (experimental)” PopOver ” so I couldn’t try that. On the settings page, the only two choices are “External Load” and “Page Footer.” If I try to change this setting and click “Save Changes” I get an error: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    Please advise.

@sleinen I’m sorry if this is too obvious, I just want to make sure.
Are you logged in as the site’s admin? (user 1) ?

    Please advise,
    Ari.

I’m also getting sieinen’s problem with CF7 shortcode. No “Custom Load (experimental) PopOver” option and any attempt to switch to “Page Footer” as the load method on the plugin settings page returns “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”. I was also logged in as the site’s admin.

It seems like you’re right, this field is not available in the lite version.
I have contacted the plugin about this issue, we’ll know more about this is a few days.

    Cheers,
    Ari.

Thanks aristath, yes, I was logged in as admin. Any help you can bring asap would be appreciated.

@sleinen @gmsdesignworks I’m sorry for the delay, I’m currently talking to the plugin developer about this, as soon as I have some news I’ll post back here.

    Cheers,
    Ari.

After talking with the developer, he let me know that footer loading “should” work for CF7.
The “Custom Load” method that @ellbristow mentioned earlier is still experimental and that’s why it hasn’t been included in this version but is currently only available on the Premium version.

@sleinen could you please test downgrading to a previous version of the plugin and test if it works there? You can get previous versions here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popup/developers/

    Cheers,
    Ari.

I just downloaded 4.4.5 (svn) and tried it with the same result.
    thanks,
