Porbably it is enabled on profile form fields panel. Start from subscription configuration panel.

When I click Subscription then Form Fields And Layout, I have Sex set to Disabled/Private.
When I go to Subscribers and then click Edit for any email, it still shows up on this page (but would like it removed completely).
Also when I choose Newsletters then New Message then Create The Email then Who Will Receive It, it still shows up as a filter on this page as well (but would like it removed completely).

About the gender field it cannot be removed. On profile editing you will always have all the fields available and on email composer you will always have the filter about gender. Just don’t use them.

About modules you should ask those questions on my forum, since the modules are commercials even if related to this free plugin.
Anyway, module must be installed on wp-content/extensions folder, as explained on the installation page. Other software are regular plugins and must be installed in the plugin folder.
