Parse error: syntax error

    I am having trouble installing wordpress on my site. I have 4 different sites and have never had this problem before.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/dif77925/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 2566

    I have tried re downloading wordpress to the latest version, transferring across the includes file again, re uploading the wp-config file. Nothing has resolving the problem.

    Try redownloading the WordPress package from and reuploading everything except the wp-content directory (in case you’ve made changes to themes and plugins). You’ve mentioned that you redownloaded the wordPress files, but have you replaced only the wp-includes/query.php or have you replaced all of the file and are still getting this error?

    I have downloaded the latest version and I have re uploaded all of the files. I am still getting this error

    I think there is some mistake in theme code which is conflict with wp-includes/query.php code. try active other theme in our site.

    Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress. This time, make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    I did a fresh download, deleted all the files on the server and re uploaded. I then received a difference syntax error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/dif77925/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 2558

    I tried deleting the wp-includes folder and re uploading it.

    I have now received this error

    Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error–end of buffer missed in /home/dif77925/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 1988

    Nisarg, unless I am confused I do not know how to activate another theme first as I cannot install wordpress correctly to even look at changing themes.

    More suggestions?

    All of the errors you’re seeing suggest that there’s some corruption of the WordPress core files on your server but, to rule out the theme, try switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
