Can anyone direct me as to how I can have a “>” on my main menu to show that I have a sub-menu associated with that menu item?

Is there a plugin that will help me do this, since I’ve been going in circles and not making any progress. I am still grasping php and would appreciate any help you can offer…

Seriously, I would truly truly appreciate your expertise in this. Thank you.

Although this is possible with PHP, it can also be achieved often quite effectively and easily with CSS…that is assuming the theme outputs CSS classes or id’s for a parent menu item…

Could you provide a site url?

The CSS used is:

li:before

or

li:after
http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/sel_after.asp
