• Hi,

I am working on the following site: http://hartcity.net/

I’d like to remove the padding on both the right and left sides of the template and between the header and main menu. I have tried editing in the style sheet but nothing seems to work. I have also change the width and branding to 100% but I am still receiving the padding. I’d like to remove it for both the front page and the full width pages. No edits I seem to make in the style sheet css file work. I have had success in editing the php files though.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

  • It looks like the CJ Customer Header code that you inserted could be messing up the formatting. Now you have two sets of <head></head> tags.

Thank you, simple1, for your response!

I tried without the CJ Custom Header plugin as well to no avail. With the oxygen theme should I create a child theme to make the padding changes or is there something in a php file that will allow me to adjust the settings?

I’ve created a child theme and have been able to make other edits like center the main navigation menu and put it in uppercase. However, I am still unsure how to eliminate the left and right padding to make the content spread across the screen. Do you know where and what I should edit within the style sheet to do this?

I’m sorry that I forgot to mention that I am using the Oxygen theme as the parent theme.
