• Hello, i use other services to post stuff to my blog and i have one service (ifttt) that i use to publish pictures to my blog into a specific category. This worked perfect until i tried to publish posts to a category with two names, somethink like “thoughts & tricks” with the slug named “thoughts”. When i tried to use the slug name it created a new category with that name “thoughts2”. Which one im i supposed to use?

  • You have a new category with that slug name thoughts2 because you already had one with the slug thoughts. You can use any one category you like but it is advisable to use one, preferably thoughts.

Either I dont understand you or you dont understand me. Hehehe. My question is basically what should i write in my other service? The real name of the catergory: “thoughts & tricks” or the slug name “thoughts” which is the correct? Or is best practice to have the same name in the slug as the category name? Rename slug to: “thoughts-and-tricks”

    Rename slug to: “thoughts-and-tricks”

Try that if it suits you.

This is not solved. The problem seem to be that when I use any category with two names it just wont work.

I use IFTTT to auto generate blogposts with other services, and if I select catagory “PHOTO” then it works but if the category has a name like “THOUGHTS AND TRICKS” with a slug name “thoughts-and-tricks” I have tried both versions and it will only post it in “uncatagoized”
