Support » Fixing WordPress » unreadable captcha token file

  • Tried to log in as admin on my WordPress blog today (haven’t logged in in a couple of weeks) and I’m getting a message “unreadable CAPTCHA token file.” I’d love to disable CAPTCHA but if I can’t log in as admin how can I do that?

Also, I’d love to tell you what version of WordPress I have but since I can’t log on…

    Help! 🙂

  • Probably a permission-problem
    go to /wp-content/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/captcha/temp
and set the permission to 777

Or you can move or delete the pluginfolder
FTP to the server and delete (or better move) this folder: /wp-content/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/

Needed permissions are only RWX for group and X for other
