Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » Does cache get flagged for clearing upon post_save

  • In looking through the discussions and docs, I’m having a hard time confirming whether the following is true when using the plugin. So i’ll ask here:

    1. Are the appropriate cached pages flagged for a refresh upon a post save or update in the wp-admin panel? Or does it only happen on a timetable? I noticed that in the settings there is wording that all cached pages get removed: Clear all cache files when a post or page is published or updated. Is this all files or just the cache files for the post? I’d assume that only the cache for a given post (as well as the index pages, etc) would be cleared.

    2. It makes much sense on the site to not serve cached pages to logged in users (I have account info in the sidebar for instance and the nav changes). However, is there an override for this so that I could serve a cached file if it is a certain page or has a certain GET variable in the request field? This is because some pages could be served from the cache since they don’t include user-specific info.

    Thanks!
