Email & New Subscriber Notification not working | WordPress.org

My group email and subscriber notification email suddenly stopped working. I’ve read the above post re Emails Not Sending but my issue doesn’t seem to be my service provider – Go Daddy. I talked with them and I am under their daily group send limit and there are no restrictions in the from address. I’m using MAC mail and they think maybe it’s an issue with MAC mail.
Could you please shed some light on what could be happening and if you think it might be MAC… Thanks. Joanne

Sorry, but despite what GoDaddy have told you this is down to them. Se here:

I believe that GoDaddy have an ulterior motive to get you to pay for their custom email system.

But ultimately you may need to leave GoDaddy to get this working.

Hi Yoga for Self,

It appears you’re having the same problem I was. I believe it’s your Mac email address.

I switched to a Gmail address for blog notifications and it works perfectly now.

Thanks for the tip, Esmi implies on your linked thread that this is still a server side issue but the information may be useful in any case.
