 * Hi there,
 * we are seeing critical error messages and certain JS isn’t loading since the
   update. Also we cannot update any other plugins/theme unless we deactivate Yoast
   SEO plugin.
 * We’ve seen the following discussion: [https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/16027](https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/16027)
 * Are you looking for a fix? If not how do we downgrade to version 14.8?
 * Thanks,
    Keaton

 * Hi,
 * We apologize for any issues you may have encountered with the latest version
   of the Yoast SEO plugin.
 * Were you previously on v14.8.1 of the Yoast SEO plugin and this issue didn’t
   occur?
 * Could you please check if you are using the latest version of WordPress 5.5.1,
   the latest version of all of your other themes and plugins, and meeting the necessary
   [plugin requirements](https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/)?
 * Also, are you encountering the same server error messages as in the GitHub issue
   you’ve mentioned when a website has 800 posts attributed to a singular WP author?
   Or is it a large site in general?

 * Hi [@samewayco](https://wordpress.org/support/users/samewayco/) ,
 * We’re closing this thread because we haven’t heard back from you in a while.
   Also, we’ve already released Yoast SEO 15.0 so we suggest updating to the latest
   and see if that resolves your issue.
 * Should you have further questions, please open a [new thread](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/).

 * [@mikes41720](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mikes41720/), [@jerparx](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jerparx/):
 * As you probably know by now, there are many Yoast users reporting the same issue.
   Yoast has opened a ticket to address and fix the issue. Apparently, Yoast 14.9
   and 15.0 (by consequence) are duplicating WordPress back-end functions.
 * More details can be found in [this thread](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-14-9-and-15-0-website-crashes-php-fatal-error/).
 * Hope this helps. Check with your peers. They should have more info.
 * At this point, issue is not resolved.
 * Have a safe, productive week!
