Sorry for this extra long post. This is driving me crazy!

I have literally gone back and forth DAYS with the developers of my Theme, Razor from Parallelus, and basically they dumped me off here saying it isn’t their problem. What a hoot.

Unavoidably long convoluted story. Perhaps some kind soul can help.

I began with Mingle another Parallelus theme. Both it and Razor I like very much BUT my menu system is broken and nobody can seem to fix it. Take a look: http://www.be-awesome.org

It is interesting to note it worked fine… until the theme providers ask permission to access my site to fix another problem, now this is broke and they deny responsibility.

As you can see initially there are 6 Widgets mostly for bbPress and Buddy press that work fine. However if you go to other pages, like Knowledgebase then hit Home on the Menu bar the left sidebar then becomes empty.

If you look which page is accessed it shows this:

Initially just http://www.be-awesome.org Once leaving the home page and pressing Home from another page it finds this page http://www.be-awesome.org/home-3/

Now the plot thickens. Once upon a time I had multiple home pages, yes, one including one where the slug was home-3.

Now look at how my Dashboard used to look http://www.be-awesome.org/dashboard/ Yes as you can see several home pages once existed. No longer. Now I have but one simply named home. The other ones were put in the trash and the trash emptied.

    Now look here: http://www.be-awesome.org/dashboardmenu/

The theme makers tells me to change the URL to just my domain. As you can see there is no option to do that. The menu I’m using is Main 1. Main 2 was a leftover from another of their themes Mingle. I moved what menu choices were on Main 2 on that theme to Main 1. The Main menu isn’t used, just a sample of some their pages.

Now if not confusing enough if you go to Dashboard, Home, then do a quick-edit you see there is some left-over slug named home-3 remaing on the only home page that though magic is found which is why clicking on home from any page but the home page ends up with a empty left side bar.

Yes, I tried to change the slug name, leave it blank, try to force just my domain name in there, nothing works.

This is too complex and weird for me. Remember now there is but a single Home page BUT it has the stupid home-3 slug I don’t need, want and can’t get rid of that seems to be causing me grief.

How can I edit the Home button when pressed on any of the pages to just go back to my domain?

Thanks to all those that read this far.

Well boys and girls, for what its worth I fixed it myself. The how is almost as convoluted as the problem. If there was a different hopefully easier way, I’d love to hear how.

As I kept telling the theme developers who weren’t in any mood to listen or even look, I had no option to enter a URL to go to my domain address on the menu option I was using. The top one. See this page which I’ll leave up for just a little while.

Note the bottom one which comes as a “extra” demo you can load has a different format WITH a line to enter a URL. So to fix things I needed to deleted all their menu items almost a hundred, one by one, then add mine about 70, one by one. Then it works.

My question for the WordPress gang is either of these the default WordPress menu, and if so which one?
