How do you insert shortcode?

    Where do I insert the shortcode in order to put a slideshow on one of the static pages of my website? I can’t find the answer, neither in the plugin documentation nor in the WP codex. I guessed I could use “edit page”, pressed the “text” button and pasted it in there, but that just put the shortcode in the visual area; it also didn’t give me a slideshow.

    Correction to above: I discovered that although on “edit page”, one sees the shortcode in the visual mode that one inserted in the text (HTML) mode, the visitor does not see any shortcode on the page. The slideshow does show up. Mark this resolved.
