I’ve had Anti-Spam implemented for a few weeks on my site, and it has been working wonderfully. I even posted an article about how simple and effective the plug-in is.

Recently I’ve begun to receive numerous (eight in the past few days) spam messages – but only on a particular post on my blog. I’ve got my site set to require moderation of all comments, so they’re never appearing on my site as I mark them as spam, but I’d like to know if there is anything that can be done to prevent this.

I’m not certain these spam messages are added by a bot, but they certainly have a look that leads me to believe they are.

What kind of information might I be able to provide to help assist in resolving this issue?

    Please advise.

I updated Anti-spam plugin and make protection a little bit more complicated.
Please update the plugin on your site and let me know if you will receive new spam after plugin update.

Users does not use trackbacks. But spammers does. But users use pingbacks. Spammers cannot use pingbacks because backlinks are checked.

I think I solve the problem of spam in trackbacks. I just disabled trackbacks 🙂

Pingbacks are enabled and IMHO it is enough for connection between different sites.

    Vitaly-

I want to thank you for your prompt replies to my queries and the expeditious manner with which you produced both versions 1.4 and 1.5 of your plug-in.

I’ve implemented 1.5 on my site and updated my article accordingly.

    Again – THANK YOU.
