    Hi developers,

    I think I may have found a bug

    I have set that subscribers can not upload images onto events. Which works fine, but when they go to edit the event the “event image” heading comes up and you can upload an image – which then becomes the featured image.

    Can you confirm please.

    BTW – great plugin !

    have you tried Settings > General > User Capabilities > upload_event_images ?

    yes I have that setting so subscribers can NOT upload images, and that works fine there is not option for them to do so when they “add event”. but if they go to edit their event they are able to upload an image.

    do you have a sample link for us to see? also, just to narrow down the problem have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    I’ve switched to frisco for buddy press to buddy press default themes and still the same.

    Also deactivated all plugins that were not the buddypress related.

    I should mention that all the events are private events that are linked to groups. This might be something?

    are you getting this using frontend ‘Add Event’ or using admin dashboard ‘Add Event’?

    using it on the front end.

    on edit of event in front end you can add an image (even though on user capabilities it’s not checked and you can not do it on “add event”) if you do upload an image it becomes featured image on the admin dashboard.

    hmmm, I tried this one again and can’t seems to replicate this issue;

    can I know you current EM version?

    for me this works as expected. could it be that you have a plugin that messes with capabilities? If so then you may need to try disabling your other plugins, re-saving the EM settings and see if that helps.
