• I just deleted something I shouldn’t have in the code for my blog and now I can’t even get back to the /wp-admin page to open the code to enter what it is I accidentally deleted. All I get when I try and open the admin page (or my homepage) is a message that says:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/blogabo1/public_html/wp-content/themes/anubis-10/functions.php on line 12

What do I do? Please help!

  • You should be able to just upload a correct copy of the file to your server via ftp – allowing it to over-ride the one you changed in error.

If that’s not the answer, then could you be more specific about what you changed?

how about putting back what you deleted?

Here’s the simple way.. you edited a file. So put BACK an unedited version of whatever file you edited.

Can you FTP in? If so, reload the anubis-10 theme file you saved as a bak before you began editing. If you didn’t save the a back-up, then find the theme and load that file fresh into your anubis-10 theme folder in wp-content/themes
