Hi, I am a WP-Touch pro user and I am just starting to create my own templates, etc. Here is my question: I created the Classic Child #1 so I can add custom CSS and also start working with page templates.

I don't need the tab bar in my design. I read another post and it instructed the user to add: #tab-bar { display: none; } in the styles.css that is created in /wp-content/wptouch-data/themes/classic-child-1/iphone.

I turned off and deleted the site cache, I have tested with both Android 4.1.2/chrome and an iPhone 4s/Safari and the tab bar still shows (I also cleared the mobile device’ browser cache). Any reason why? If you want to see for yourself, the site is sarasotamagazine.com. We are building custom menu’s so I would prefer to disable the tab bar so we can reclaim the real estate.

please advise.. – BTW- I posted this in the WPTouch support site but it said support is offline. I am fishing for a suggestion..
