    Wayne,

Can you think of any way we could loop-in a function similar to that in the Post editor when you “Paste from Word”? All emails hitting our blog (news site/archive) originate in Outlook and so appear to be cursed with the same kind of MS Word-style unnecessary HTML tags/css.

The output often results in extra spaces and other visual quirks, not present in the original emails. I recently switched on HTML as the default since more newsletter-style content and images were being broadcast but this added annoyance crept in. Currently, if it’s particularly bad, I’ll just manually edit each post but as with everything it would be nice if an auto filter was available.

    Thanks.

You can use the postie_post filter to do anything you want to content before it is saved as a post.
http://htmlpurifier.org/ looks like a good option.
