How do you hide a category in 2.3?

    Hi people,

    I’ve been looking around for hours for the answer to this question and can’t find a solution:

    Does anyone know if there’s a way to hide certain categories in 2.3?

    I found this great plugin (“category visibility” – http://ryowebsite.com/?p=46) but it doesn’t seem to work in 2.3 (although fine in 2.2). This plugin hides a category and its posts from archives, sidebar, front-page and search area. Its super and if anybody knows of anything that would do exactly the same in 2.3 or could update the plugin I would really appreciate it.

    I’m fairly new to PHP (and these forums) so go easy on me! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
