You could assign a div to your hyperlinks and create a CSS class that has the overflow attribute set to hidden.
That said, I have to agree with what Ivovic says – just why do you feel the need to paste the whole URL?
Help create a semantic friendly web. For instance, you could simply say –
“…here is a copy of the paper from NIH.”
I asked because I have a similar issue but it’s with text on the default wordpress theme in 2.3. I posted about it here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/138433?replies=2 The issue seems to be happenning in the editor though.
So do you suggest putting the overflow attribute to hidden in the css for the div surrounding the post?
