A lightbox effect will be available from version 2.3.0. In the mean time you could alter the slideshow to make it possible anyway. You can read how to do this in this thread.
Updating would remove any changes you made to the plugin’s code, though.

sorry for my ignorance, but you explain there how to modify your plugin I think, but nothing about to use with ligthbox.
I have some images in a page I want to apply the slideshow effect together with the ligthbox effect, which I have already installed and running by another plugin (Wp Lightbox-2), but I can not create an image link to a group of images with the slideshow effect, I do not know if I can explain it clearly….

You can only put a slideshow on a website by using the shortcode in posts or pages or using the PHP snippet in your theme. You could create a page, put the slideshow in it with the images you’d like to show. You may be able to link to that page using the lightbox plugin, but I’m not sure of that.
