• Is it possible to get search results to be ordered by date rather than post ID? There are certain entries that I have which I’d like to keep “sticky” (at the top of search results) and the only way I can figure to do that is to keep their post date current. Search results being ordered by post ID prevents me from doing this.

I’m using Search Everything 3.8 but the code doesn’t seem to be in charge of ordering the output by post ID or any other means. Thus, it seems to be a WP core file, but I’m not sure which one. Ideas?

Anybody know which file controls the output for search results?

Search, along with everything else, should be sorted by reverse post date order by default, unless you’ve manually changed it in some other fashion.
