When inserting images in posts with versions of WP <3.5 there used to be 3 options for image links:

    No link
    Media file
    Attachment file

The no link option seems to have disappeared, or am I missing something. What do I do if I don’t want an image to link anywhere or want it to act as a link to a web page?

If you scroll down you should see “Link to” and a menu with none, custom url, attachment page or media file.

I can see it now for individual images in posts (thanks); is there a way of not linking to images in a gallery? I know that you would probably want to link to a bigger version especially if showing your gallery as thumbnails, but sometimes I use a gallery with size=medium in the shortcode in which case I don’t want to link to a bigger version.

All I see is media file or attachment page. But I know nothing about galleries.
