Hi,
Could you check the support tab for the PHP settings? What are the values for the following?
[php.ini] post_max_size
[php.ini] upload_max_filesize
[php.ini] memory_limit
Speak to your server admin. Also, share your server’s error log.
Regards.
An update:
It seems that the BuddyPress Activity Plus plugin was causing a few conflicts, but once removed it mostly seems to be ok now.
One small problem though…
When I try to use the textbox [it does not work], I can momentarily see a message along the lines of {"1""media":"","update_txt":"n"}
Whether this is related to the Status plugin, I am not sure, but do you have any idea what this may be?

Hi,
This is in fact, related to the activity upload feature that we’ve added. This momentary fluctuation shouldn’t happen on a standard theme. In any case, could you paste a link here or mail it to saurabh.shukla@rtcamp.com with a dummy account, so we can check for ourselves?
Regards.

Hi,
As of now, BuddyPress Media activity uploader won’t work well with other plugins that work with activity uploading. In your case, BuddyPress Activity Plus will interfere with it and vice versa. This is something that can’t be prevented, for technical reasons, too convoluted to describe here.
This is one of the reasons why Activity uploads are disabled by default. We’ll be developing an importer for Activity Plus after the default activity uploader is polished enough.
You’d have to wait until then.

There are a few things that we can do to ease this. We’ll do these, definitely, in 2.7.3.
@saurabh Shukla
Did you access my site when I forwarded my details to you?
I am not fussed about not being able to use the BuddyPress Activity Plus plugin
However, I do not seem to be able to use the BuddyPress Media textbox – is this because of the code that momentarily displays?
And if so, can I work around this somehow?
Thank you for your help.

I did. The way we work now, we overlay a text box on top of the default activity box. Both these boxes are transparent on your site and hence the actual update box, that we do all the manipulation with, shows through.
So, if you add a background color to textareas in your css, the manipulated box won’t show through and things will appear normal.
Regards.
