Hi evielutions,
I think you have things a bit wrapped around the axle here. If you want to use the single player profile page(s) and/or the taxonomy pages. You copy the templates into your theme’s main directory as described in the Installation Instructions and FAQ (and throughout this forum), then you simply link to those pages using the appropriate URLs. There is NO page to create and assign a template. You only do that if you want to use the [shortcode], as I saw on your site.
The incantation for a single player page would be something like:
http://irisesportsacademy.org/players/player-slug/
and for a player gallery it would be something like:
http://irisesportsacademy.org/teams/team-slug
Good Luck and let me know how it goes,
-Mark
Could you please tell me how to find the themes active directory.
Hi shredhead-
On your WordPress admin page go to Appearance-> Themes and see what theme is active. Say it’s Twenty Eleven. Then in your FTP client go to wp-content/themes. It’s usually obvious which is the folder for the active theme. In the above case it’s twentyeleven.

Mark, firstly, awesome plugin. absolutely spot on perfect for my guys at ironcladslacrosse.com, but I REALLY need some help. I got Team Roster installed and it was absolutely painless plugging in the players. I figured out the shortcodes with ease, and I really appreciate the work done to make this Plugin, so a big thanks.
But I have a problem that I cannot figure out. I got the team page to show up, I got the list of players to show up…no problem, and the players pages…no problem, but for the life of me, I cannot get the “players gallery”, aka taxonomy.php to work.
I’ve tried putting it in the theme directory. I’ve tried the active theme root directory. I put it in those directories with and without the singleplayer.php<sp) and content-player.php<sp>. I’ve reset permalinks. Just about every combination I could dream up. So clearly I’m missing something. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
