First let’s be clear that Threads is non-commercial GPL software provided with no support whatsoever. From the license:
This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU General Public License for more details.
I created it because it is something I wanted, and I polished it up and released it because I thought others might want to use it. My feelings will not be hurt if it doesn’t work for you, for whatever reason.
That said, I certainly want to fix bugs and am open to adding interesting features, so if you think you’ve found a problem or want to make a suggestion here are two ways to get me to look at it:
1. Write the appropriate code and create a pull request on GitHub.
2. Post here in the support forums (make sure to include description of the problem including observed behavior, expected behavior, information about your server and WordPress environment and detailed steps to reproduce if you are reporting a bug).
WordPress is an Open Source community and embraces growth and learning. If you hit a man over the head with a fish, he’ll have a headache for a day. But if you teach a man to hit himself over the head with a fish, he’ll have headaches for the rest of his life.
Anyone who isn’t interested in learning and is only interested in complaining and making demands on someone else’s time is certainly not someone I care uses my plugin or not.
